Ingredients:
4 pork chops about an inch/2,5cm thick
Salt, pepper and smoked paprika to season the chops
1 onion
2-3 garlic cloves
1lbs/450g mushrooms
2-3 sprigs fresh thyme
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken sauce
1,5 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon dry oregano
0,7 cup/70g parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper for seasoning
Vegetable oil to saute the mushrooms
Saute the mushrooms for 2-3 minutes and then add the onions and cook for 2-3 more minutes until the mushrooms are golden and all the liquid has evaporated, add the garlic and saute for 1-2 more minutes.
Place the pork chops in and finish in a preheated oven 356F/180C for 15 minutes with the lid on and then 15 minutes without the lid.
Thicken the sauce at the end with 1 or 2 teaspoons corn starch mixed with water.
Serve with mashed potatoes with bacon bits on top and mixed cabbage salat.
