These homemade honey buns are the perfect combination of fluffy dough and sweet, sticky goodness, making them ideal for breakfast or an afternoon snack.

Ingredients for 12 buns:
480-530g flour
300ml milk
40g butter
40g sugar
7g instant dry yeast
7g salt
30g honey
1 egg to grease the pastry
Bake at 160°C or 320°F for 15-20 minutes.
Mix sugar and yeast.
Measure 300 ml of milk.
Melt 40 grams of butter.
Combine the butter and milk.
Pour into the sugar and yeast.
Stir well.
Add 30 grams of honey.
Gradually mix in 480 grams of flour.
Sifting the flour is optional.
Add salt.
Knead with a spatula.
If sticky, add more flour.
Ensure the dough isn’t sticky.
Knead until smooth.
Then, knead with your hands.
Roll the dough lengthwise.
Fold one side over by a third.
Fold the other side over.
Roll to a 1.5 cm thickness.
Mix 1 yolk with 2 spoons of water to brush on the dough.
Brush the dough gently.
Trim the edges neatly.
Cut into small squares.
Place on a baking tray.
Put the tray in the oven.
Set the oven to 40°C (100°F) until the dough doubles in size.
Remove the tray and heat the oven to 160°C (320°F).
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes.
Brush with milk while hot.
