Ingredients

  • 3 cans buttermilk biscuits (about 10 biscuits per can)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼–½ teaspoon salt (optional, for salted caramel flavor)
  • Butter or baking spray for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-inch bundt pan with butter or baking spray.
  2. Open the biscuit cans and cut each biscuit into four pieces. Place all the biscuit pieces into a large bowl or resealable bag.
  3. Add the granulated sugar and cinnamon to the biscuit pieces. Toss or gently stir until every piece is evenly coated with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  4. Arrange the coated biscuit pieces evenly in the prepared bundt pan, filling any large gaps and creating an even layer.
  5. Make the caramel sauce by adding butter and brown sugar to a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter melts and the mixture comes to a boil. Add salt if desired.
  6. Pour the warm caramel mixture evenly over the biscuit pieces in the pan.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is deep golden brown and the biscuits are fully cooked.
  8. Let the monkey bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Carefully invert it onto a serving plate.
  9. Serve warm by pulling apart the pieces with your hands or slicing with a knife.
