Easy Air Fryer Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup (45g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup (57g) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg (room temperature preferred)
- 1/4 cup (25g) Dutch-processed cocoa powder, sifted
- 1/3 cup (40g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup (45g) extra chocolate chips (optional mix-in)
Instructions:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and butter.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
- Add sugar, vanilla extract, and egg to the melted chocolate mixture.
- Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- Sift in cocoa powder and add flour and salt.
- Gently fold the mixture with a spatula until just combined (do not overmix).
- Stir in extra chocolate chips, nuts, or any desired mix-ins.
- Grease a 6-inch cake pan with butter.
- Line with parchment paper and grease again.
- Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top.
- Preheat air fryer to 330°F (165°C).
- Bake for 15 minutes or until the edges are set, and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Let the brownies cool completely before removing them from the pan.
- Slice and enjoy! (For extra indulgence, serve with ice cream.)
